Multiple OS in VPS Servers
If you select one of our VPS server packages, you will have as many as three different Operating Systems to select from - CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu. They're all Linux releases and we offer them instead of offering just one OS, since the apps that you might choose to run on the server could have specific requirements regarding the software environment. Each one of these three has certain advantages with regard to the available plans that you may later install, but what's common between them is the fact that they're very secure and reliable and have vast communities that support them. The hosting Control Panel alternatives for the VPS accounts depend on your OS choice, so as to provide you with more flexibility. In case you order the virtual server with one OS and you need a different one later, our tech support team can easily reinstall the VPS with the new one in just a few minutes. We also offer you the option to maintain the Operating System on your server up-to-date weekly.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server plans - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they're cost-free so they won't increase the low price of your new web server, but also because they are exceptionally stable and secure. Each one of them is supported by a large community of developers, so you'll be able to choose from a myriad of software packages that you may install on your server if the app that you want to use has certain requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use as the Control Panels that we offer are compatible with particular OSs only and because we want to give you as much freedom as possible, we offer multiple OSs and multiple Control Panels. If you get a server with a given Operating System, we will change it upon request if it turns out that you need another one. We could also keep your OS updated on a weekly basis as a part of the additional Managed Services upgrade.
